Title of the workshop:
“Innovations in Chemical-Free Agriculture: Enhancing sustainability and Food Quality”
Duration
3-days workshop (21-23 August, 2024)
No. of trainee:
130 farmers (provided certificates)
Venue:
IIT Bhilai Campus, Chhattisgarh

To envisage into sustainable agriculture introducing a method of chemical-free farming. This workshop aimed to provide training to active farmers across India to develop knowledge, skill and awareness about the farming practice by sustainable organic farming methods. It is the priority to adopt organic or natural farming which would be a robust solution to save natural resources in addition to expanding food production, ensuring food security and boosting economic growth for conventional farmers in a sustainable manner.
Outcome
The agenda of the workshop has been implemented from lab to field. A prototype at the small scale is purposed by preparing a land (30ft x 30ft) at IIT campus for practicing the organic farming technique to cultivate vegetables.
